Best Time to Visit India

India's climate varies dramatically by region and season

Peak Season

October – March

The most popular time to visit. Cool, dry weather across most of India. Ideal for the Golden Triangle, Rajasthan, Goa and wildlife parks.

Hot Season

April – June

Very hot across the plains. Best for Himalayas — Shimla, Manali, Ladakh and hill stations are pleasant while the rest of India swelters.

Monsoon Season

July – September

Heavy rains across most of India. Lush green landscapes and fewer tourists. Kerala backwaters are beautiful, though travel can be disrupted.
